The rewards and benefits related to the different Crypto.com Card tiers

Important: This FAQ page is applicable to users who have an existing Crypto.com Card or who applied for the Crypto.com Card before 6 November 2024.

The Crypto.com Card comes with rewards that are designed to fit the needs of consumers who are always on the move.

Building on the existing travel rewards of the Crypto.com Card, which include Priority Pass™ airport lounge access, interbank exchange rates, and no overseas fees*, select cards will have:

Travel in Style: 10% purchase rebate on each Expedia (US$50 equivalent**) or Airbnb booking (US$100 equivalent**)

Your Music: Spotify. Get a 100% rebate for your standard subscription plan (up to US$13.99 equivalent** / ***)

Your Movies: Netflix. Get a 100% rebate for your basic subscription plan (up to US$13.99 equivalent** / ***)

Your Social Media: X.com (Previously Twitter). Get a 100% rebate for your premium subscription plan (up to US$8 equivalent**/****)

Best Spending Rewards. Ever. Up to 5% back on spending, local or overseas, no minimum spending required.

*Subject to different card regions. Refer here for more fees & limits details.

​ ***Merchant rebates from Spotify and Netflix expire after six months upon card activation (card issuance for a virtual card) for new users with Royal Indigo, Jade Green, and Ruby Steel. Cardholders who have upgraded their Card tier or CRO stake will enjoy the merchant rebate benefit(s) offered with the new Card tier for six months starting from the date of the upgrade. Merchant rebate benefits will not expire after six months for cardholders upgrading to the Icy White, Frosted Rose Gold, or Obsidian Cards, for as long as the cardholder maintains one of these cards.

****Merchant rebates from X.com expire after six months and twelve months following card activation (or card issuance for a virtual card) for new users with Icy White/Frosted Rose Gold and Obsidian Cards respectively. Cardholders who have upgraded their Card tier or CRO stake will enjoy the merchant rebate benefit(s) offered with the new Card tier for 6/12 months starting from the date of the upgrade. Valid for new users or cardholders who upgraded on and after 1 Feb 2024 10:00 UTC.

Starting 15 January 2024, 03:00 UTC, Cardholder CRO Staking will replace CRO Lockup for eligible users. Note: The Cardholder CRO Staking requirements for the Crypto.com Card are expressed in the local fiat currency equivalent.

Whenever you stake or lock up the required CRO for a higher card tier, you can enjoy various Cardholder CRO Staking or CRO Lockup benefits, such as additional spending rewards, purchase rebates, and higher rates in Crypto Earn, depending on the card tier that you have staked or locked up for.

IMPORTANT:

If you are eligible for Cardholder CRO Staking and have an active CRO Lockup, you must accept the Cardholder CRO Staking Terms & Conditions in the Crypto.com App ‘Card’ page to continue earning CRO rewards from 15 January 2024, 03:00 UTC, or when your 180-day Lockup period is complete, whichever is later. If you do not accept the Cardholder CRO Staking Terms & Conditions by 15 January 2024, 03:00 UTC, you will stop earning CRO Lockup Rewards thereafter. However, you will continue to enjoy your card benefits based on your CRO Lockup tier.

If you are eligible for Cardholder CRO Staking and you do not have an active CRO Lockup and wish to enter into a new Cardholder CRO Stake on or after 15 January 2024, 03:00 UTC, you will be required to accept the Cardholder CRO Staking Terms & Conditions during the CRO purchase and staking process in the Crypto.com App.

If you are eligible for Cardholder CRO Staking and you have an active CRO Lockup, and you opt to upgrade your card on or after 15 January 2024, 03:00 UTC, regardless of whether your current CRO Lockup holding period is ongoing or otherwise, you will be prompted to accept the Cardholder CRO Staking Terms & Conditions during the card upgrade process. Your current CRO Lockup will be replaced with Cardholder CRO Staking and will be subjected to another 180-day holding period.

Cardholders will lose their CRO Staking Rewards or Card Lockup Rewards (as applicable) and card benefits if the Cardholder CRO Stake is unstaked or if the CRO Lockup is unlocked.

Cardholders will receive the exact quantity of CRO back when they unstake after the unbonding period, or immediately after they unlock.

For example:

Cardholder CRO Staking: A user stakes 5,000 CRO for a Ruby Steel card, when 1 CRO = US$0.08 ($400/$0.08). When that user unstakes, 5,000 CRO will be returned to them after the unbonding period, regardless of whether the price of CRO is higher or lower at the time of unstaking.

CRO Lockup: A user locks up 5,000 CRO for a Ruby Steel card, when 1 CRO = US$0.08 ($400/$0.08). When that user unlocks, 5,000 CRO will be returned to them immediately, regardless of whether the price of CRO is higher or lower at the time of unlocking.

Purchase Rebates - Details

The CRO equivalent of the transaction amount in USD will be deposited into your CRO Wallet, which will be reflected instantly with each eligible transaction.

The limit for the purchase rebates are as follows:

Expedia: Up to 10% of each purchase with a US$50 limit per month

Airbnb: Up to 10% of each purchase with a US$100 limit per month

Spotify: Up to US$13.99 per month

Netflix: Up to US$13.99 per month

Amazon Prime: Up to US$14.99 per month

X.com: Up to US$8.00 per month

The rebate cap is reset on the first day of each month.

Transactions made under these merchant categories or channels are excluded from the CRO Rewards programme: digital wallets, digital banking services, crypto exchanges, stored value products, money remittance services, security brokers/dealers, insurance sales, underwriting and premiums, tax payments, government services, financial institutions, POI funding transactions, quasi cash, money orders/wire transfers.

This offer is launched independently by Crypto.com , and there is no partnership between Crypto.com and the merchants in this offer. Crypto.com has the sole discretion to modify this offer at any time.

Increased Spending Rewards - Details

With an ongoing Cardholder CRO Stake or CRO Lockup, cardholders will receive the extra spending rewards based on their card tier:

Obsidian: 2% → 5%

Icy White/Frosted Rose Gold: 1% → 3%

Royal Indigo/Jade Green: 0% → 2%

Ruby Steel: 0% → 1%

Note: Midnight Blue cardholders are not be required to stake or lock up any CRO, and as such, will not be awarded with any card rewards.

Spending rewards at qualifying merchants eligible for purchase rebates will only be credited for amounts exceeding the maximum monthly purchase rebate. For example, if you spend US$39.99 on Netflix, you will enjoy US$13.99 in purchase rebates, and spending rewards on the remaining US$20.

*The monthly CRO rewards caps for Ruby Steel and Royal Indigo/Jade Green still apply.

When will CRO rewards be credited on purchases made with the Crypto.com Card?

Crypto.com Card spending rewards will be credited to your CRO Wallet shortly after you've made an eligible purchase.

Monthly CRO Rewards Cap

There is a monthly cap on spending rewards you can earn for your Crypto.com Card. For example, if you hold a Ruby Steel card, your monthly CRO rewards will be capped at US$25.

There is no monthly spending rewards cap* for Ruby Steel card for the first 1 month following card activation (card issuance for a virtual card).

There is no monthly spending rewards cap* for Royal Indigo & Jade Green card for the first 3 months following card activation (card issuance for a virtual card).

There is no monthly spending rewards cap for Icy White, Frosted Rose Gold, and Obsidian cards.

Cardholder CRO Staking Rewards

On 15 January 2024, 03:00 UTC, Cardholder CRO Staking rewards will replace CRO Lockup rewards for select users and will continue to be awarded weekly as Cardholder CRO Staking rewards.

Refer to the table below for the estimated rewards rate under Cardholder CRO Staking. The reward rates provided are an estimation based on data from validators and are subject to change. The rewards you receive will be the final reward rates received from validators, less service fees charged by Crypto.com. Crypto.com does not guarantee any particular rate of return.

The Cardholder CRO Staking rewards will be credited to your Cardholder CRO Stake in your Crypto Wallet weekly, thus compounding your rewards.

After the 180-day holding period, you can unstake your CRO. Simply go to your CRO Wallet in the App and tap the Unstake button.

Note that by unstaking CRO, you will be subjected to a 36-day unbonding period, which is imposed by the underlying protocol. During and after the unbonding period, you will be unable to enjoy Cardholder CRO Stake rewards or benefits that come with Cardholder CRO Stake, for example:

CRO Lockup Rewards

CRO Lockup rewards are paid on a weekly basis, and the rates are as follows:

8% p.a. for Private Members with an Obsidian, Icy White, or Frosted Rose Gold card;

4% p.a. for Jade Green or Royal Indigo cardholders;

After the 180-day holding period, you will be able to unlock your CRO. Simply go to your CRO Wallet in the App and tap the Unlock button.

Note that by unlocking CRO, you will be unable to enjoy CRO Lockup rewards or benefits that come with CRO Lockup, for example:

Free Card Reissuance

Until further notice, the US$50 card re-issuance fee will be waived for cardholders who upgrade to a higher card tier by staking the required amount of CRO.

Icy White, Frosted Rose Gold, and Obsidian cardholders enjoy additional benefits

How do I get the extra 2% p.a. in rewards for Crypto Earn?

1. You need to have an active Cardholder CRO Stake or CRO Lockup for Icy White, Frosted Rose Gold, or Obsidian (not applicable to Australia cardholders).

2. Applicable to any non-CRO fixed-term allocations made after 1 March 2020. Please refer to Crypto Earn for more information.

Amazon Prime

Get a US$14.99 monthly rebate for your Amazon Prime subscription.

How does it work?

Use your Crypto.com Card to pay for the Amazon Prime membership and get reimbursed in CRO afterwards.

Please note that the reimbursement has a cap of US$14.99 per month, so please choose the monthly payment option instead of the annual one.

How do I sign up for these benefits?

Apply for a Crypto.com Card by downloading the Crypto.com App. Existing cardholders can upgrade to a higher card tier.

Do I need to change my current X.com/Spotify/Netflix plan in order to enjoy these benefits?

Visit the respective sites and pay for your subscription with your Crypto.com Card.* For existing users of X.com/Spotify/Netflix, go to the subscription and payment page to change your payment method to the Crypto.com Card.

Note: Enabling International Usage may be required.

How do I get my rebates for X.com, Spotify, Netflix, Airbnb, Expedia, and Amazon Prime?

Make your payment, as usual, using your Crypto.com Card. Crypto.com will deposit the CRO equivalent of the rebate into your CRO Wallet.

The user may immediately convert the CRO into other cryptocurrencies or fiat currencies.

Do I have to make recurring subscription payments using the Crypto.com Card?

Yes, you must make the payment or change the current payment method to the Crypto.com Card for the subscription in order to enjoy the rebates.

Do I have to have a certain balance in my card for the subscriptions?

You need to have a sufficient amount in your card balance for payment.
